A local historian will give a lecture and slide show, "Dear Santa – Christmas Stories from the Old West" at the Silver City Museum Annex on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 12 noon. The presentation is part of the Museum's ongoing series of free Brown Bag lunchtime presentations. The Museum Annex is located at 302 West Broadway, on the northwest corner of Broadway and Arizona, in the former PNM building.

The lecture with slide show, will take a look at Christmas over the years in Silver City and the Old West. Come and learn about early holiday shopping and parties in Silver City, stories of Christmas trees, and church services of a bygone era. This presentation will surely put you in the holiday season!
