WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman on Tuesday will hold an Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing to examine the Secretary of Energy Advisory Board's Shale Gas Production Subcommittee 90-Day Report.

The Shale Gas Production Subcommittee was tasked with identifying measures that can be taken to reduce the environmental impact and improve the safety of shale gas production.

The Senate this week will take up S.1619, the Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act - legislation aimed at cracking down on unfair currency manipulation by other countries.
