Silver City, NM – Western New Mexico University is hosting its next In Your Community Event in Santa Clara, on Saturday, October 27 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The event will feature food, games, information booths and music by D.J. Milligram.
"This is our fourth In Your Community event since July and we have had a great time meeting new people and hearing their ideas on how to grow our university-community partnerships," said Abe Villarreal, WNMU Director of Communications.
WNMU President Joseph Shepard will be on hand to speak to community members and share ideas on how to build a stronger university-community relationship.
Candies and trick-or-treat bags will be distributed to area youth. Children are invited to dress up and participate in the Halloween costume contest. Prizes will be given to the most creative and most original costumes.
The Santa Clara event will take place at the City Hall building on Bayard Avenue.
