Public Information Meeting: 6:00 pm Open House and 6:30 pm Presentation on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at the Commission Meeting Room, Grant County Administration Building, 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, NM.

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) is developing plans for the replacement of the NM 90/Hudson Street Bridge in Silver City. The existing bridge would be demolished, and a new bridge would be constructed over the San Vicente Arroyo to the south of Broadway. The new bridge would be wider than the existing bridge and would include sidewalk(s) and bike lane(s). Lighting would be upgraded and signs would be placed. During bridge construction, a temporary detour route would be established, and various options for routing this detour to the west of NM 90 are being considered. As part of this project, additional turn lanes would be constructed at the US 180/County Bypass Road intersection. Environment, geotechnical, and utility investigations will be conducted for this project.

NMDOT representatives will present initial information on the proposed NM 90/Hudson Street Bridge Replacement Project, discuss options for the detour route, and receive comments from the public. The public is encouraged to ask questions and provide comments.
