Santa Fe, NM - Several legislative interim committees are meeting at the State Capitol Building in Santa Fe next week. All committees are nearing completion of work for the interim session and preparing for the legislative session beginning January 15, 2013.
Monday, November 26 through Tuesday, November 27:
The Legislative Health and Human Services Committee will meet in room 322 beginning at 9:00 a.m. both days. Senator Dede Feldman (D-Bernalillo-13) serves as chair of the committee and Representative Danice Picraux (D-Bernalillo-25) serves as vice chair.
The Indian Affairs Committee begins their meeting at Buffalo Thunder Casino at the Pueblo of Pojoaque at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, and continues Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. in room 307 of the State Capitol. Senator John Pinto (D-McKinley & San Juan-3) and Representative James Roger Madalena (D-Bernalillo, McKinley, Rio Arriba & Sandoval-65) serve as co-chairs.
Wednesday, November 28:
The Investments and Pensions Oversight Committee will meet at 9:00 a.m. in room 322 of the State Capitol. Senator George K. Munoz (D-Cibola & McKinley-4) serves as chair of the committee and Representative Henry "Kiki" Saavedra (D-Bernalillo & Valencia-10) serves as vice chair.
The Radioactive and Hazardous Materials Committee will meet in room 321 at 10:00 a.m. Representative Antonio Lujan (D-Doña Ana-35) serves as chair of the committee and Senator Richard C. Martinez (D-Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe-5) serves as vice chair.
Thursday, November 29 through Friday, November 30:
The New Mexico Finance Authority Oversight Committee will meet in room 322 at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and reconvene at 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Senator Mary Kay Papen (D-Doña Ana-38) serves as chair of the committee and Representative Patricia Lundstrom (D-McKinley & San Juan-9) serves as vice chair.
The Courts, Corrections and Justice Committee will meet in room 307 at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday and reconvene at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Senator Peter Wirth (D-Santa Fe-25) and Representative Al Park (D-Bernalillo-26) serve as co-chairs of the committee.
