Hobbs, NM (November 22, 2012) - Today, Congressman Steve Pearce issued the following statement in recognition of Thanksgiving Day:
"Today, people will gather together across our great nation to celebrate a uniquely American holiday" said Pearce. "I always look forward to Thanksgiving as a time to reflect and thank God for all I have to be grateful for: my family, friends, and the freedoms we enjoy every day. Despite our present struggles, this is a time to come together and give thanks for the blessings we have as Americans. This Thanksgiving, I encourage my fellow New Mexicans to remember in their thoughts and prayers the millions of Americans who remain unable to find work, as well as those in uniform who are unable to be with their families today."
