"FALL" IN LOVE AT PUPPY DOG RANCH'S FALL ADOPT-A-THONS
This Saturday, November 3 and Saturday, November 10, from 10 am to 2 pm, Puppy Dog Ranch Rescue and Sanctuary in Arenas Valley will continue to hold Adopt-a-thons as a way for families and individuals to meet and spend time with their dogs available for adoption. There will be free hot dogs for kids, rock painting, and the Puppy Dog Ranch Re-Tail store will be open for those who want to purchase dog related tee-shirts, cards and gift items.

Since opening its doors in August, 2009, Puppy Dog Ranch has rescued 150 dogs and found 'furever' homes for 90+ dogs, while maintaining a 99% successful adoption rate. Owner Laurie West attributes this success to a thorough application process which matches a dog's temperament and energy level with a potential owner's lifestyle. West explains that "Our rescued dogs live with us at our Ranch and in our home for months, even years, and because we personally care for each dog, we know each dog's temperament and personality and the best living situation for them." As part of the application process potential dog owners are strongly encouraged to have a doggie sleepover. "We really encourage potential adopters to have a doggie sleepover before making a final decision. A majority of the people who have adopted dogs from our no-kill Rescue and Sanctuary have taken a dog home for the weekend -- even as long as a week! Our doggie sleepover program has really been helpful to people making the major commitment of adopting a dog. They love the stress-free adoption process and we love our successful program!"

There are currently 20 dogs available for adoption and they range in age, size, breed and energy level. Except for the very young puppies (eight weeks old and younger), all available dogs are leash trained, spayed/neutered, current on shots and tags, and socialized to be around both children and adults. Medium and small dogs are also socialized with other dogs and are house trained. For the safety of adopted dogs, all prospective adopters must have a fenced yard/property and agree to a yard inspection, deemed appropriate for that dog, prior to adoption. Dogs available for adoption can be viewed and an adoption application can be downloaded on their website at www.puppydogranch.org.

A $50.00 large dog adoption discount and a $25 small dog adoption discount is offered to those individuals who adopt a dog after attending one of the Adopt-A-Thons on November 3, and November 10. The Ranch is located at 27 Twin Sisters Creek Road, Arenas Valley, NM 88022.
