The SW New Mexico Green Chamber of Commerce and Silver City Chapter of the New Mexico Solar Energy Association will hold the regular monthly meeting of Silver City Green Drinks this Friday, Oct. 14, 6pm in Isaac's Backroom, 200 N. Bullard Street.

The new Workforce Development Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency Grant for Southwestern New Mexico will be presented by Joe McClintock. The goal is to establish a statewide, systematic approach for worker training in occupations responsive to business and worker needs. The State Energy Sector Partnership Program (SESP) is a three year, six-million dollar American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant awarded through the U.S. Department of Labor. The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) administers the grant on behalf of the State Workforce Development Board (SWDB).
