Silver City, NM, May 28, 2025—Linda M. Tollefson and Emma McKinley will be the presenters at the June 3rd meeting of PFLAG Silver City, 6:00 PM, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3845 N. Swan.  Light refreshments will be served, and the public is invited.

The Center for Health Innovation-Public Health Institute and PFLAG Silver City are excited to announce a free training session titled "Save a Life" (RX Safety and Overdose Reversal). This training will be led by Linda M. Tollefson, Youth Substance Awareness and Prevention Coalition Coordinator, alongside Emma McKinley, Grant County Health Council Coordinator. Participants will gain practical skills in safe medication practices and learn how to effectively use overdose reversal techniques, empowering them to make a difference in their community.  The training takes about an hour and a half.

"This is an important and timely training," PFLAG Silver City spokesperson, Damie Nelson, states.  "So many of us, including myself, have dealt with the pain, fear and frustration of having a family member or friend with a heroin or other opioid addiction. Getting trained to save a life is a smart thing to do."
