The First Annual Wilderness Artisan Fair will take place Nov. 17 at Little Toad Creek Inn and Tavern, located at the junction of Hwy 15 and Hwy 35 near Lake Roberts. The fair will be held Saturday, November 17, from 10a.m. to 5 p.m., with more than twenty artists and artisans showcasing a wide variety of crafts. Featured will be fiber artists with woven rugs, scarves, vests, jackets, organic and hand-painted yarns, and housewares; jewelry from hand-crafted silver and stone, copper, and mixed media; oil painting, photography, art prints, nature prints; ceramics from housewares to sculpture, Mimbres-design stoneware; wood sculptures, woodcraft furniture, hand-crafted wooden housewares, flutes, handmade paper lamps, and much more.
The recently-opened inn is located along Sapillo Creek near Lake Roberts in the heart of the Gila National Forest and Wilderness. Little Toad Creek Inn invites the public to venture out through the autumn forest to see this amazing collection of arts and crafts.
