Silver City, NM – The Francis McCray Gallery of Contemporary Art on the campus of Western New Mexico University invites the community to a free opening reception and student Art Talk for the Fall 2012 WNMU Art Graduates Exhibition on Friday, November 9, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the McCray Gallery.

Two students are graduating with a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree (BFA); C. Bree and Cristina Sotelo. Bree's concentration is Fiber Arts. She is also earning a degree in English. Sotelo's concentration is in Drawing, Painting and Photography and she is also graduating with an associate degree in graphic design.

Alizabeth C. Freeman, is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Her concentration is in Photography.

Cindy R. Medrano, is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the IDEA program with concentrations in Art and Music.

The three Art graduates in the Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies program are LeaAnn G. cook with concentrations in Art, Education and Writing; Jamie Fischer, concentrations in Art and Bilingual Education; and Benjamin E. Jeremiah, concentrations in Art, Writing and English.

The BFA student graduates C. Bree and Cristina Sotelo will each deliver an "Artist Talk" that will compliment their artwork during the course of the exhibition opening as well as Masters graduates Jeremiah, Fischer and IDEA graduate Medrano. Art Talks will begin at 5:30 p.m. in McCray Room 118, next to the gallery.

The Fall 2012 WNMU Art Graduates Exhibition is on exhibit from November 9 through December 14. The exhibit will be open through the evening of fall graduation on December 14.
