Albuquerque, NM – February 4, 2019 – In addition to holding the annual weeklong Albuquerque Film & Music Experience (AFMX) festival September 24–29, AFMX is ramping up student involvement in 2019. In order to provide additional inspiration for students interested in film, music and arts, AFMX is seeking community involvement to provide passes for students to access films, music programs, panel discussions and networking events with industry members during the AFMX Festival.

"With our festival date moving from June to September this year, our focus on engaging and including high school and college students is stronger than ever," said Ivan Wiener, AFMX Executive Director. "One of the main reasons students have shied away from attending past events is they simply could not afford tickets or passes, and our goal is to alleviate that hurdle by providing scholarships and inviting the community to sponsor students."

To get involved, community members can make a donation of $100 or $200 to sponsor a Student Festival Pass. The pass can be for a student of the donor's choosing, or AFMX will donate passes to high school and college programs that teach film, music and the arts as part of their curriculum.

"We are very excited about this new initiative and have streamlined the donation process with a few simple clicks of a button," added Wiener. "It's now easier than ever to help inspire the next generation of artists, actors, filmmakers, and creative minds."
