"The ranch provides us with a wonderful opportunity because of the established fruit orchard on the property," said Shengrui Yao, NMSU Extension fruit specialist. "We have several outstanding presenters for this year's workshop."

This year's agenda includes presentations on frost monitoring and crop damage mitigation, orchard fertility management, fruit and nut species and cultivars for northern New Mexico, pest and disease management product update, pest pheromone disruption and monitor trap demonstration, and apple orchard renovation pruning demonstration.

"Since registration costs include lunch and materials, pre-registration will help us have an accurate head count to ensure there will be enough food for everyone," Yao said.

Pre-registration before Feb. 20 is $15 per person. After Feb. 20, it is $20 per person. To pre-register, call Joy at 505-471-4711.
