NMSU Global Campus to offer microlearning courses on soft skills

In today's workforce, success often hinges on more than technical expertise. To help professionals excel, NMSU Global Campus is launching a new suite of microlearning courses focused on soft skills — the cornerstone of effective leadership, teamwork and personal growth.

Designed to empower New Mexicans and learners worldwide, the online courses bridge the gap between ambition and achievement by equipping participants with essential interpersonal skills. From excelling in job interviews and collaborating effectively in teams to resolving conflicts and safeguarding their online presence, learners gain the tools they need to thrive in a competitive job market.

"Soft skills are not just desirable, they're essential in the modern workplace," said Andrew Sedillo, director of microcredentials instructional design at NMSU Global Campus. "Employers value adaptability, emotional intelligence and collaboration just as much as technical ability. These courses provide learners with the tools to grow holistically and stand out in their careers."

Microlearning courses from NMSU Global Campus are designed for busy individuals looking to enhance their professional toolkit without disrupting their daily lives. By dedicating just 15 minutes a day, learners can unlock their potential and make significant strides in their careers, 100% online and all at their own pace. The new set of courses were developed in collaboration with Aggie Next Step and Bodyswaps. Aggie Next Step is a 4-H Youth Development Extension and outreach program that focuses on post-secondary success for 8th- through 12th-grade youth in middle school, high school, youth organizations, home school groups and other educational institutions.

In partnership with Bodyswaps, NMSU Global Campus offers cutting-edge courses with AI-powered simulations, providing a safe space to practice and master key skills.
