
Amanda lived in many places including Plano, Irving and Springs, TX, Montana, Salt Lake City, UT and Tucson, AZ. She graduated from Pima HS in Tucson.
Amanda loved children and worked in child care and as a nanny. She pursued several jobs in the Dentistry field including schooling and internship as a Dental Hygienist.
Occupied as a nanny for the children of an MLB Toronto Blue Jays ballplayer, she travelled a lot to major US cities. After her mom's passing, she travelled to Europe then lived for some time in SoHo (Manhattan, NY) before her return to Tucson.
Amanda was resourceful and independent, a true free spirit, very intelligent, cordial and made friends easily.
Amanda Jean is preceded in death by her mother, Maria Elena Zapata Manthie; 3 grandparents- Federico (Lico) and Evangelina (Jean) Zapata and Luis A Escobar; 3 uncles - Ricky, Zapata, Freddy Zapata and David Escobar; 1 aunt; Diana Escobar.
Surviving family includes her father Louis C Escobar; her grandmother Juanita Escobar; 3 aunts Gloria (Raul) Zapata Nanez, Irene (Strode) Escobar Manley, Alice Escobar; 1 uncle, Manny (Patricia) Escobar; 3 brothers, Gary (Angie), Gaspar (Brenda), and Stephen Escobar; 4 nephews, Logan, Chris, Landon, and Ethan Escobar; and two nieces, Alexandria and Autumn (DJ) Escobar plus many loving friends.
She is survived by 16 first cousins on the Escobar side and 2 on the Zapata family side, Gabriel and Nicholas Quihuis.
Graveside Services and prayers will be held at 10:00AM at Memory Lane in Silver City on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
