MullerAntoninetteAt the age of 97, Antoinette M. Muller of Deming, NM passed away peacefully at home on April 2nd, 2025. Her son Hans was at her side as she took her very last breath. She had many loved ones visit in her final days, supporting her with loving expressions of appreciation and words of comfort as she began her journey transitioning from the familiar realm of the physical towards that which comes after.

"Ann" was a resident of Deming for over 30 years and loved her little town from the start. Ann was born and raised in Indonesia where she also married her husband, Karl. They lived in Australia for 5 years with their little family of three and then moved to the much-too-cold Netherlands where they stayed for 2 years with their family of four. In 1958, they arrived in the United States, first landing in New York and lived many places around the country.

Ann loved nature, birds, flowers, rivers, mountains, and streams, which she saw plenty of while traveling and camping across North America with her beloved husband Karl. Some of her favorite places were Yellowstone, Zion, & Grand Canyon National Parks, Villa Corona in Jalisco, MX, and anywhere her favorite tree, the Douglas fir grew.

Ann had a great love for reading and was particularly interested in geography and learning the ways of people and cultures from across the globe. Her inquisitive and curious mind made her a lifelong learner, continuing into her last days.

Ann is preceded in her death by her husband of 54 years, Karl Muller.

She is survived by her son Hans A. Muller whom she spoke with several times daily for the past 22 years, and his wife, Agnes L. Muller whom she considered a daughter, and their two children, Kimberly Ann Muller of Oakland, CA and Kyle Austin Muller of Brooklyn, NY.

She is also survived by her daughter, Kristine Stevens of North Carolina, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Ann also leaves behind those caregivers who became close friends. She maintained deep appreciation for and special relationships with Maria Banuelos, Rosio Venzor, and Miguel Aldea, all of Deming, NM, who provided her with exceptionally kind and attentive care and friendship.

Ann will be deeply missed and we give our heartfelt love and thanks for all that she has done and given to her family. Thank you for being a very loving mother, Oma, and friend. Her kind and humble spirit will be missed.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 11 o'clock in the morning at Mountain View Cemetery. The family invites all friends and family to join them in procession as they escort Antoinette to her place of rest. Please meet at Baca's Funeral Chapel at 10:30 in the morning.
