Barney C. Padilla, 49, a resident of North Hurley, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, December 8, 2012 at his residence.

He was born July 26, 1963 in Silver City, NM to Leo G. Padilla Sr. and Mary Chavez Padilla. He is survived by his mother, Mary C. Padilla of North Hurley; three daughters, Jocelyn Sias of Santa Clara; Kayleen Padilla and companion Randy Torres of Santa Clara; Emily Padilla and companion David Cortez of Bayard; two grandchildren, Xavier Cuevas and Azelia Cortez; two brothers, Leo Padilla Jr. and wife Donna of Arenas Valley; Ruben Padilla and wife Mary Helen of North Hurley; two sisters, Melinda Gutierrez and husband Joe of Hurley; Bernice Padilla and companion Jose Rubio of Bayard; mother of his children, Olivia Padilla. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo G. Padilla Sr.

Viewing will be Wednesday, December 12th from 9-10am at Santa Clara Catholic Church with the vigil service and holy rosary to begin at 10am with Father Robert Becerra officiating. The funeral liturgy will commence at 10:30am. Concluding services the interment will follow at the Hurley cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Chavez, Benny Sias, Raymond Chavez Jr., Randy Torres, Anthony Padilla and Leo Padilla Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Sedillos, David Gonzales, Jose Rubio, Lawrence Lopez, Ernest Alcorta, David Cortez, David Amador, Alfred Chavez, Manuel Chavez, Raymond Chavez and the rest of his family and friends.
