Gonzales Fred

Fred S. Gonzales, 67, also known as Thirty-Three, passed away December 2, 2012, at Gila Regional Hospital in Silver City, NM.

A visitation was held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at Lordsburg Funeral Home with a rosary following.

He was born on July 19, 1945 in Glenbar, Arizona, and was raised in Safford, AZ and Steins, New Mexico. Mr. Gonzales is survived by his wife, Linda Gonzales; two children, Frederick S. Gonzales II, and Michelle G. Gonzales; and two Grandsons, Matthew Ibarra and Cristopher Medrano. Mr. Gonzales served in the National Guard. He loved the outdoors which included fishing, traveling, and cooking. He drove semi-trucks for several companies, traveling the United States. He was always on the go. His last work was with Premier Transport, taking patients to and from doctor appointments all throughout Southwest New Mexico. Many folks knew him from his nickname, Thirty-Three. He loved painting Southwestern figurines, such as roadrunners, lizards, and quails. He also made his own turquoise necklaces with their own unique design. He was a giving man and will be greatly missed by many.
