GonzalezGaudalupeGuadalupe Gonzalez, 82 of Santa Clara passed away April 3, 2025 at Gila Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.

 At the family's request, cremation will take place. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 11:45 am on Friday, April 11, 2025 at Santa Clara Catholic Church led by Deacon Bill Holguin. The Funeral Liturgy will follow at 12:30 pm. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at the Hurley Cemetery. Officiating will be Father Casmir Anozie.

"Lupe" or "Pita", as she was fondly known, was born May 20, 1942 in Santa Rita, NM to Benito and Cecilia (Ruelas) Rodriguez. Being born in Santa Rita, she always shared fond memories of her time in Santa Rita. After relocating to Santa Clara, that is where she became a lifelong resident.

 Lupe was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved babysitting her grandchildren, great nieces and nephews. Lupe was an accomplished seamstress, loved traveling and trying new foods. In her children's elementary years, she was an active volunteer her children's classroom. Lupe was a devote member of the Roman Catholic Church, being a member of Santa Clara Catholic Church her entire adult life. Lupe will be greatly missed.

GonzalezGuadalupe2 Lupe is survived by her husband, Raul Martinez Gonzalez; son, Paul Gonzalez (Christine) of Centennial, CO; daughters, Cecilia Gonzales (Steve) of Tucson, AZ, and Sonia Gonzalez of Santa Clara, NM; brothers, Benito Rodriguez II (Virgie) of Tucson AZ; sister, MaryLou Lopez (Macario) of Santa Clara, NM; five grandchildren, Marcella Gonzales, Gabriella Gonzales (Nate), Ariella Jimenez (David), Sienna Gonzalez, and Meg Gonzalez; one great grandchild Evelyn Jimenez. Guadalupe was preceded in death by mother, Cecilia and father, Benito; several uncles, aunts, cousins from her mother's side, the Ruelas family, and members of her father's family.
