James R. Allan, 35, a former resident of Silver City, NM now of Duncan, AZ passed away on August 20, 2011 at his residence.
He worked for the Morenci mine as a heavy equipment operator. Prior to being at the mine he served a 4 yr. tours with the US Navy as an Aviation Mechanic. He also served 2 yr. tours of the Gulf War with the Army Reserves. He was a loving giving and hard working person. He had a love for horses, hunting, fishing and country western music.
He is survived by his parents, James D. and Pamela G. Allan of Duncan, AZ; two sisters, Tami Abalos and husband Eddie of Silver City; Tanya Renteria and husband Troy of Silver City; nephew, Christopher Allan; niece, Brooklyn Renteria; paternal grandparents, Pete and Betty Allan of Silver City; maternal grandfather, Jerry Yocum of Safford, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Yocum; uncle, Steve Allan.
A memorial service will be celebrated Saturday, December 8th at 1pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with inurnment to follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery with full military honors.
