Jim (Jimmy) P. Rodriguez 80, a resident of Silver City, entered Eternal Life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Visitation was on Tuesday November 27, at 5 O'clock in the evening at Baca's Funeral Chapels with the Holy Rosary recited by Angela Casiano and Veronica Araiza at 6'O clock. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday November 28, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 10 O'clock in the morning officiated by Father Paulus Kao. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Fierro Cemetery.

Jim was born on April 20, 1932 in Dwyer, New Mexico to Esevio and Fransica (Parra) Rodriguez. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and having a drink with his wife, friends and compas. He loved to sing and enjoyed dancing. Jim felt he could never get to spend enough time with his children and grandchildren. He loved that very much.

He is survived by his wife Manuela "Nellie" Rodriguez, a son Jim Jr. Rodriguez, and 4 daughters: Estella Rodriguez-Keyes and husband Al of Yucaipa CA., Barbara Brashears and husband Larry of Silver City, Mary Vaden and Husband Al of Phoenix, AZ, and Angela Casiano and husband Jesus of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by 2 step-sons Steven Lechuga and companion Anita of Silver City and Athony Lechuga and companion Christina of Silver City, a stepdaughter Veronica Araiza and husband Paul of Hurley, 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and a brother.

Pallbearers will be Jim Rodriguez Jr., Jason Garcia, Carlos and Lalo Gomez, Pablo Rodriguez-Keyes, Nicholas Vaden, Anthony Garcia and Jacob Araiza. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy and Jonathan Keyes, Erik Vaden, Jesse Casiano, Anthony Lechuga Jr., Andrew Romero and Adrian Woods.
