Joan N. Hayes, 78, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Gila Regional Medical Center.

She was born March 20, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Clyde and Ethel Kister Traer. She was president of the Garden Club for 4yrs. She was also a member of the Woman's Club. She is survived by her loving husband of 45yrs, Dean Hayes of the family home; three sons, John Stucker and wife Carolyn of Huntington Beach, CA; Steve Hayes and wife Elena of Lancaster, CA; Dennis Hayes of Lancaster, CA; two daughters, Debbie Cardoza of Holton, MI; Cari Lynn Jenkins of Silver City, NM; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Clyde Traer and wife Joann of MI; two sisters, Belva Labord of Carlsbad, CA; Brandy Traer of Boulder City, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mitchell Stucker; and one brother, Micky Traer.

Memorial service will be held at the Rose Garden on Memory Lane cemetery on Saturday 2pm October 27, 2012. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory. Family and friends will gather at the Hayes residence. Please RSVP 575-388-4195. To send condolences, visit www.terrazasfuneralchapel.com.
