Martha E. Cuhen, 85, a resident of Santa Clara, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Silver City Care Center. She was born July 29, 1927 in Hachita, NM to Francisco Echiribel and Ysabel Martinez. She was an active member of the Santa Clara Funeral Ministry for many years. She enjoyed fishing, dancing, music and gardening. She was a very creative and crafty person who enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and playing board games. She is survived by one son, Eddie Cuhen and wife Betty of Deming; four daughters, Gloria Ortiz and husband Ray of Hanover; Elsie Roman of Santa Clara; Beatrice Resendiz and husband Berardo of Silver City; Alicia Flores and husband Adam of Bayard; twenty-one grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren, twenty-four great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Francisco "Kiko" Echiribel of Tempe, AZ; Rito Echiribel and wife Licha of CA; Tony Echiribel and wife Mona of CA; two sisters, Dora Bencomo and husband Joe of Mesa, AZ; Lola Cook and husband Bob of Tempe, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Miguel A. Cuhen; two sons, Mickey and Albert Cuhen; four brothers, Martin, Leo, Mickey and Amador Echiribel; two sisters, Julia Talavera and Christina Valdez; two grandsons, Albert Ray Cuhen and Victor Roman; two great-grandchildren, Marcos and Sabrina Cuhen. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23rd at 4-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil and holy rosary to begin at 6pm with Carmen Terrazas reciting. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 24th at 10am at Santa Clara Catholic Church with Father Mike Williams officiating. Concluding the service interment will follow at Santa Clara cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Sifuentes, Matthew Cuhen, Steven Estrada, Andrew Arroyo, Gilbert Cuhen and Ernest "Columbo" Cuhen. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Cuhen, Joe Bencomo and the rest of her grandsons. Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels "Trusted care for the ones you love" ~ 575-537-0777.
