He was born August 8, 1957 to Peter B. and Juanita G. Escobedo both of Silver City. During his youth he was involved in Little League, Boy Scouts, 4-H, H&K Riders with his horse Pal and eventually began his football career at Silver High School and excelling up to captain of his team. After graduation with future plans of playing college and possibly professional football Peters lifes path changed direction and he enlisted into the Armed Forces the summer of 1975. After boot camp he became and Army Green Beret and later an Airborne Ranger. He quickly advanced through the ranks to Seargent before honorably discharged from his lifes passion as a decorated hero in 1978. his life turned another page and he enrolled into and achieved his college degrees. Peter had numerous degrees at three different Universities.

He finally became a Registered Nurse and remained as that for the duration of his career. Much like every other aspect of his life he rapidly succeeded into an open-heart recovery nurse. Cardiologists and specialists would request Peter to care for their patients. He was an exceptional nurse, one of the best, only select and special medical professionals can handle that level of critical care needed to attend these sensitive patients. Peter was indeed such a nurse that cared for these types of patients for many years until his retirement that was forced by the injuries he sustained in the military. However, he never gave up that fighting spirit which navigated him throughout his life. Regardless if it was scoring a winning touchdown, jumping out of a plane or comforting a fragile patient Peter always did what was asked of him and then some. He had a complete love of the outdoors and was the only place he was ever truly at peace. He was an avid hunter, going every chance he got. He also loved to cut wood and did that for as long as his health would allow. He loved his family dearly had a deep-seated love of animals. He will forever be remembered for his chuckling smile and a handshake that you knew when you felt it was a true one. He was a man of his word and took great pride in that.
