Vincent Hopla White, 50, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Monday, May 14, at his home in Pinos Altos.
Vincent graduated from Silver High School in 1979 and then joined the USAF in 1980. After a near fatal car accident, he was medically retired from the USAF in 1983 and returned to Pinos Altos. As a teenager, Vincent enjoyed hunting, trapping, and fishing in the Gila Wilderness while growing up in Pinos Altos. Vincent volunteered several days a week with the Gila Regional Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary until his death.
Vincent is survived by his parents, Dan and Lillian White of Pinos Altos, two sisters Jennifer White of Silver City and Rachel White of Pinos Altos, and two brothers Brian White and wife Lisa of Albuquerque and Roger White of San Diego, aunt Jennifer Frank of London, England, good friend Jean Springler, nieces, Amy Bornhoff of Denver, Sarah Rivera of Albuquerque, Sharilyn White of San Diego, Magen Hansen of Albuquerque and nephews, Ryan White of Atlanta and Tyler Otwell of Silver City and numerous grand nieces and grand nephews.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the GRMC Hospital Auxiliary. Cremation has taken place at Terrazas Crematory. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 15th at 10am at St. Francis Newman Center with Father Mike Williams officiating. Inurnment will follow at Pinos Altos cemetery.
