WASHINGTON, FEB. 22, 2026 – Rosina Food Products, Inc., a West Seneca, N.Y. establishment, is recalling approximately 9,462 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) frozen meatball products that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically metal, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

SANTA FE, NM – The Bureau of Land Management today opened a 30-day public scoping period to receive public input on 32 oil and gas parcels totaling 21,181.2 acres that may be included in an August 2026 lease sale in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. The scoping period ends March 23, 2026.
Leasing is the first step in the process to develop federal oil and gas resources. Before development operations can begin, an operator must submit an application for permit to drill detailing development plans. The BLM reviews applications for permits to drill, posts them for public review, conducts an environmental analysis and coordinates with state partners and stakeholders.
LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The Bureau of Land Management Las Cruces District is preparing to implement three prescribed burns across Otero, Sierra and Doña Ana counties in the coming weeks. These strategically implemented prescribed burns will reduce hazardous fuels across 7,000 acres of grass and brush. The objectives for the burn are to rejuvenate decadent grass, reduce wildfire risk, reduce tree encroachment, improved ecosystem health and enhance wildlife habitat.

SANTA FE – Members of the public will have an opportunity to provide input next month as the New Mexico Department of Wildlife is proposing to stock hybrid striped bass, also known as wipers, into Elephant Butte Reservoir.
The Department will hold a public meeting in the Boat Training Building at Elephant Butte Lake State Park (7 Ridge Road, Elephant Butte) from 6-7 p.m. on March 5. Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting to learn about the proposal and provide comments.
