"It's my duty of care to ask, 'What the hell happened with that money? Why did we spend it? Why did we spend millions of dollars on five-star hotels for campaign staffers? Why did we spend $500,000 essentially bribing Al Sharpton moments before he interviewed Kamala? These are legitimate questions, but no, in the cult you can't ask questions." — Lindy Li, speaking on the "Piers Morgan Uncensored" show, You Tube TV, Dec. 18, 2024.
***************************
For at least the second time in a few weeks, an insider Democrat Party member has questioned the out-of-control campaign spending of Kamala Harris during her run for the White House.
Readers may recall Kamala's staff spent an estimated $1.5 billion during her abbreviated effort to defeat Donald Trump. The most money ever squandered on a Presidential campaign.
Previously, Democratic Party strategist, James Carville, also wondered how so much money could be thrown away in so little time with such disastrous results. (see my Grant County Beat article "Democrats Want To Audit Democrats," Dec. 9, 2024).
To my way of thinking, it's not difficult to figure out — someone, or someones, were not being properly managed by campaign supervisors.
Simply, when foxes are guarding the hen house it shouldn't be overly surprising when hens begin disappearing.
In this case, when millions upon millions of dollars are suddenly unaccounted for, it becomes obvious the people in charge of administering disbursement of the funds have failed miserably.
Which leads to two additional questions: Were the folks merely incompetent and inadequately placed into these positions, or did they purposely contrive to gain access to piles of money with the intention of pocketing a bunch of it for themselves?
These are issues James Carville and Lindy Li are looking into. As, I'm sure, are others within the party. If haphazard spending of this magnitude isn't documented and accounted for, there could be adverse repercussions impacting future donations.
Likewise, criminal charges and court ordered financial audits may ensue in attempting to determine where the money went and who was responsible.
Li says she is already experiencing Democrat Party blowback. After questioning how the campaign was spending donor money, she was abruptly ostracized by party officials. "Leaving the Democratic Party, or even questioning the Democratic Party is like leaving a cult, it's terrifying," she told Morgan.
Not surprising, much of this information has been unreported by the mainstream media, similar to their behavior in suppressing President Joe Biden's mental decline or the validity of Hunter's laptop; if it isn't mentioned, or brought to the public's attention, then it didn't happen.
Which probably accounts for the rise of social media news, podcasting and similar online programs people are turning to in an effort to hear stories and accounts no longer being covered by the liberal press.
Actually, there are a few conservative news outlets available on cable and satellite service providers, and their influence is continuing to increase, but established news organizations remain the more recognizable sources.
That's the beauty of the 1st Amendment and competition. As long as people have differing ideas about things and are free to express those opinions without government or corporate censorship, then the concept of freedom of the press will remain vibrant.
To such an extent we will eventually learn of the political tricks and snafus regularly being disguised by politicians and insider operatives.
Like Kamala's billion-dollar campaign chest, for instance. No one — including Kamala — is denying it didn't exist. The problem is finding out how all that money disappeared in only three or four months. Plus, an extra $20 million thrown in for good measure.
With the help of investigative Democrat Party officials, like Carville, Li, and others, we're beginning to realize some kind of giant scam seems to have taken place in which baskets of cash were routinely spent under the guise of campaign expenses.
A new FBI Director may also be interested in taking a look at the situation. Obviously, something doesn't appear kosher. Ordinarily, a billion and a half dollars isn't spent on travel, hotels and TV ads in just a few months.
On the surface, these acts appear suspicious, carried out by people with ulterior motives. Once that possibility is recognized, maybe the press will become more curious and begin to mention it on page one
Like they used to.
