No matter what label Eric Adams wants to put on them, illegal immigrants are causing a crisis in this nation. A crisis that was orchestrated by our federal government. The purpose is to divide us, to create a new voting bloc, and to put more money into the hands of every level of government to control our lives. Promises dating back to the 1970s to reform the legal immigration process have not been fulfilled. As you can imagine I have some opinions and observations.

I was watching demonstrations by illegal immigrants in Chicago. They were holding signs that said, "we need paid job training," "we need free housing," "we need free health care," "you promised us safety." All of these signs were in English but none of the people holding them could speak English. Do you think that these demonstrations were organized by somebody else? We know the government promised those things to them because we've seen the advertisements in Mexico and Central America.

Meanwhile, there are approximately 4 million people trying to get into this country legally. It is estimated that 70 to 78% of them are relatives of people who have come here legally. Most are mothers and children that will wait years to have their visas approved. Politicians don't like those people because they are generally educated and independent. They have jobs or the relative they are coming to live with has a job and are not dependent upon government largesse which means they are not as easily manipulated.

New York City is housing illegal immigrants not only in hotels but also public housing. Before they started moving illegal immigrants in, public housing maintenance projects we're backlogged to the tune of $40 billion and at least 18 months behind projected schedules. In the roughly 2 1/2 years of housing illegal immigrants, the cost of those projects has doubled to $80 billion. Yes some of it is because of inflation but much of it is because those people have no respect or appreciation for what they are being given.

Large cities are spending billions of dollars to feed and provide health care to illegal immigrants. All of it is free to them. Those billions of dollars are being siphoned away from other projects that would benefit the taxpayers that are providing the money. Of course it's being taken away from things like infrastructure projects, funding of police and fire departments, schools but not from programs that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion or other social programs.

Polls show that immigration is the top priority or concern for voters, at times it's either #1 or #2 switching places with the economy. The propaganda media knows we are getting upset about illegal immigration and the current administration is being blamed for the problem. That's why they cut away from Donald Trump's Iowa victory speech when he began talking about illegal immigration. That is, if they cared to show it at all. The stated reason for cutting away from his speech was because that's racist. I've seen videos of people coming across the border. Ethnicity is not homogeneous in those groups. In fact if you truly believe in diversity you would be using pictures of these groups to promote your belief.

The majority of Americans are not against immigration. That is a fact. We have never been a nation that is against immigration. We want immigration, legal immigration. We welcome people to join our society if they want to contribute to our society. Come work here and assimilate to our shared values and principles. Don't bring the principles and values you are fleeing to our country. We will welcome you. Just look at our history.
