The old-fashioned, hometown parade features equestrian units, ranch kids, locals and out-of-town guests, all decked out in red, white and blue to honor America. Following the Parade, the Glenwood Park is hosting an evening of fun for all. Several food vendors will provide tasty meals. The Bouncy House will be in action for children to enjoy as well as the newly refurbished playground area. D.J.

Vendors with all sorts of interesting goods for sale will be all around the park. At 9 p.m., the Hubert Schmieder Memorial Fireworks show will fill the skies with the best fireworks show in Southwest New Mexico. D J. Devine will continue to play music until midnight.

Saturday, July 5th, the popular Bush Popper Ranch Rodeo will get underway at 10 a.m. The scheduled events show the skills needed by everyday working cowboys, including roping, and team work.

Photo by David ThornburgAt 5:30 the Frisco Cowbelles will host their 44th Annual BBQ, featuring delicious smoked brisket dinner with slaw, potato, beans, tortilla, homemade dessert and drink, followed by the Art Auction featuring many wonderful paintings, prints and some jewelry, with proceeds benefiting the promotion of agriculture. The Dance starts at 8 p.m. featuring the Desert Thunder Band.

 

 

Sunday, July 6th, Teaming Roping will get under way at 10 a.m.
