Silver City, NM – Gila Regional EMS acquired four new Stryker LIFEPAK 35 Heart Monitors and received training on their usage on Monday, January 6, 2025. As stated on www.stryker.com, "The LIFEPAK 35 monitor/defibrillator is a clinically advanced, life-saving device with proprietary tools and technology built on an intuitive platform for advanced patient care." Currently, Gila Regional EMS is the only service carrying these monitors throughout Southwest New Mexico.
EMS Director, Eloy Medina, expresses the significance of these monitors by stating, "The monitors elevate the quality of patient care our paramedics provide. Our goal is to the set the standard for paramedics." The organization is committed to further advancing its services, with plans to acquire additional monitors through applying for grant funding.
