Hidalgo Medical Services (HMS) is proud to announce that two of its outstanding team members have been recognized on a national stage for their dedication to improving the patient and employee experience.
During the Custom Learning Systems (CLS) 25th Annual Healthcare Service Excellence Conference, Imagine, held November 10–12 in Galveston, Texas, Joseph Brady, Director of Patient Access, received the Year One Implementation Coordinator Award, and Rodger Koest, PC Technician, was honored with the Service Excellence Advisor (SEA) Award. Joseph Brady stated, "It was a thrill and an honor to receive this award from CLS. This award is not just for me, but it represents the hard work and dedication of all the members of the HMS team who have put their heart and passion into helping us escalate the patient and employee experiences."
The sentiments from Rodger Koest included, "It's an incredible honor to be selected for the Pinnacle Award for Service Excellence Advisor. I'm deeply grateful to HMS leadership for championing Service Excellence and to all my coworkers who bring it to life every single day. This recognition reflects our shared commitment to serving our patients and supporting one another."
Joining Joseph and Rodger during this celebration of success were Amanda Barrett, Clinical Data Analyst, Amanda Frost, COO, Amy Jones, DNP, Gretchen Cannon, CFO/CIO, and Dan Otero, CEO.
HMS, a proud member of Custom Learning Systems, has partnered with CLS for more than a year and is now entering its second year of this collaboration. Through this partnership, the organization has strengthened its culture of excellence by empowering staff to create meaningful, positive experiences for patients and colleagues alike.

Over the past 12 months, HMS has achieved impressive patient satisfaction results, averaging 93.5 percent with a high of 94.8 percent. The organization's Net Promoter Score over that same period averaged 63.58 percent, reaching a peak of 71.17 percent—metrics that underscore the trust and satisfaction of the community it serves.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), HMS remains dedicated to its mission of positively impacting the health, well-being, and quality of life for the residents of Hidalgo and Grant Counties and across Southwestern New Mexico.
