NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
GRANT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
PUBLIC HEARING – INFRASTRUCTURE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN (ICIP)
Notice is hereby given that the Grant County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to solicit input on the local Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP) for Fiscal Years 2027–2031.
The ICIP is a planning tool used to establish priorities for anticipated capital projects in Grant County. It encourages local governments to plan for infrastructure development to avoid emergency situations and ensure sustainable growth. The ICIP process is coordinated statewide by the New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration, which strongly encourages all jurisdictions to prepare a five-year plan for capital improvements.
The Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), through its authority in NMSA 1978, Sections 5-8-6A, 6-6-2J, 6-6-4, 9-6-5.1, 11-6-2, 11-6-3, 11-6-4.1, 11-6-5 and 11-6-5.1, strongly encourages each jurisdiction to prepare a five-year infrastructure capital improvement plan (ICIP).
