LEGAL NOTICE

The Town of Silver City Council will hold their Regular Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Grant County Administration Center, 1400 Hwy. 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico. The public is invited to attend. The agenda will include:
Approval of Minutes: Regular Meeting – August 12, 2024, Regular Town Council Meeting
Reports: Police Chief Freddie Portillo

11. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Mayors' reappointment to the Cemetery Board
B. Approval / Disapproval of Closed Executive Session pursuant to NMSA 1978 10-15- 1(h)(2), limited personnel matters regarding the discussion of the job performance of Town Manager, as it pertains to his oversight of the police department.
C. Approval / Disapproval of ORDINANCE 1331: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 22-20, DEFINITIONS, SECTION 22-22, PURPOSE, SECTION 22-23,
WHERE SMOKING PROHIBITED, AND SECTION 22-24, WHERE SMOKING
UNREGULATED, ARTICLE II, SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES, CHAPTER 22,
HEALTH, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF SILVER CITY, NEW
MEXICO.
D. Approval / Disapproval of ORDINANCE 1332: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
CHAPTER 9, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, BY ADDING ARTICLE 1, AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROVISIONS," SECTIONS 9-1 THROUGH 9-10, AND ARTICLE II, "AFFORDABLE / WORKFORCE HOUSING, PROJECT DONATION," SECTIONS 9-11 THROUGH 9-21, OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE TOWN OF SILVER CITY, NEW MEXICO.
12. ADJOURNMENT
Agendas are available prior to the meeting and may be obtained at City Hall, 101 W. Broadway and City Hall Annex, 1203 North Hudson, or on the Town's website, www.townofsilvercity.org . If you have any questions regarding the public hearing, you may contact the Town Clerk at City Hall, 101 W. Broadway or call 534-6346. If you are an individual with a disability who needs a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter, or any other form of auxiliary aid service to attend or participate in the hearing or meeting, contact the Town Clerk at 534-6346 at least one week prior to the meeting or as soon as possible.
