The one thing the Democrats can't take from us

The Republican Party of New Mexico needs a leader with a clear vision, bold ideas, and the determination to win. That's why I'm running to be the next RPNM Chairman. Here's how we'll rebuild and revitalize our party together:

A Vision for the Future
I believe New Mexico should be in the Top Ten of states in the nation. Here's what that looks like:
● Republicans are the majority in the Roundhouse and Governor's suite.
● Republicans are united from around New Mexico.
● Providing counties and candidates with the resources they need to WIN.

A Plan to Grow Our Party

We'll expand voter registration, create voter loyalty, and ensure every New Mexican knows what we stand for. My plan includes:
1. Partnering with businesses for voter education and registration.
2. Developing mentorship programs to engage the next generation.
3. Campaigning hard for every candidate.

Training and Support for Success
The days of outdated candidate training are over. Under my leadership, we'll develop modern, effective resources, including training videos featuring successful Republican elected officials who will share their proven strategies for fundraising, voter outreach, campaigning, fundraising compliance with finance laws, and navigating media environments from print press to digital.

Standing Up for Election Integrity
We'll return election oversight to the legislature where it belongs. My commitment? I'll fight tirelessly for fair elections, ensuring every vote is counted honestly and transparently. I will also be on the ground in Las Cruces on Election Day, not partying as if the election is over.

Fundraising
New Mexico Republicans have been losing so many elections for so long that conservatives, both nationally and locally, see New Mexico as a bad investment.
● We cannot wait until 2026 to show we can win NOW. We need to ensure House District 6 becomes a Republican district and secure a Republican win after the election—a huge milestone. If the Secretary of State has compromised her office, we must pursue accountability.
● Donald Trump can help New Mexico in the first and second quarters, showing New Mexicans that Republicans support the hard-working people of this state.
● Once we demonstrate that New Mexico Republicans are winners, we will raise the necessary investment dollars to win elections, and I will lead the fundraising effort.

Building a Grassroots Powerhouse
The RPNM must support county organizations and grassroots efforts. I'll ensure:
● Open communication and support for our counties, candidates, and elected officials.
● Adoption of Robert's Rules of Order to end the tyranny of the gavel, which stifles open dialogue between Republicans.
● Transparency in hiring and decision-making to strengthen trust across the party.

It's Time for Change

Ten years ago, New Mexico had a Republican member of Congress, Governor, Land Commissioner, and a majority in the New Mexico House. After eight years of the same Republican leadership, Democrats now occupy all New Mexico seats in Congress (the only state without Republican representation), the Governor's suite, and complete control of the NM Senate and House. What will another two years look like if the current leader's protégé is chosen?

I have a different vision than that of the leaders of the last eight years. Republicans are not victims of redistricting but have the power and agility to exploit the weaknesses of the Santa Fe Democrats, who have become complacent with weak Republican leadership.

On December 9, we will plant the Republican flag with Paul Spencer in NM House District 9. Not only will we not allow Maggie Toulouse Oliver to illegally seize Paul Spencer's seat in the New Mexico House of Representatives, but we will also demand NM Attorney General Torres hold Maggie Toulouse Oliver accountable for her attempts to circumvent New Mexico law and the will of the people.

Winning back our state requires a strong leader whose mettle has been tested. As a young man in my twenties, the Bureau of Land Management could not push my company aside. In my sixties, the Department of Energy gave up and settled with me on my terms.

Standing against the Democrats requires a leader with an unblemished background. Senator Heinrich's campaign found nothing in 2018, and in 2021 Mayor Keller's administration could not intimidate me into stopping my articles (To The Point With Mick Rich) addressing the corruption and failings of his administration.

I am prepared to lead the Republican Party to take back our state from the Democrats who have destroyed the great state of New Mexico.

Sincerely,
Mick Rich
Candidate for RPNM Chairman
