Had Jackson Browne an American president in mind when he musically asked in 1977, "Are you there for the pretender?" 77 million American voters answered almost 50 years later, "Yes."
On 20 January 2025, Donald Trump's role in enabling what will likely be the final stage of the unfounding of America was officially given the go-ahead. The Perpetual Political Pendulum, now in its eighteenth Right-to-Left-and-back-again cycle, can at last soon settle where it was always meant to settle: over the abyss of global totalitarianism. As future history will prove, this destination has long been the actual promise of America's imposed-and-accepted two-party political construct, the not-accidental result of an increasingly less-free citizenry choosing, in understandable self-defense, the lesser of increasingly hapless, hypocritical, and corrupt political offerings.
Trump Derangement Syndrome and Trump Delusion Syndrome are variants of the same manufactured virus. Left and Right, Americans are being played. The Trump-deranged want an America that is not America, the goal of which was unabashedly represented by the moronic Biden-Harris, then Harris-Walz, pairings as if to test how much "stupid" a population was willing to call "leadership." The Trump-deluded want America to be more or less America but their MAGA-cap brims have obscured a no-less totalitarian horizon accessed by a different route, a route shortly to be Warp-Speeded by Donald Trump's chosen retinue.
Selective thinking, like selective memory, is a useful human deficiency conscripted by those whose goals cannot be achieved except through deception. Once a victim of the con attaches individual identity to the fabricated personage, position, proposition, or party, the capture is complete. Only too-late hindsight can remove self-affixed blinders, ear plugs, and tinted lenses. Only the violent imposition of unseen, ignored, or denied reality can shake what is self-made to be unshakable. And if the manifestation of ruinous reality is sufficiently gradual and gentle, i.e., incrementally presented "for the public good" or as inevitable "progress," only troublemakers, societal outcasts, extremists, and heretics will see it for what it is.
En route to the 2024 election, Donald Trump admitted to making mistakes when choosing his first-administration entourage, as if fifty-plus years of billion-dollar deals, government-favor trading, influence peddling, palm greasing, reality-show posing, bankruptcy deflecting, platinum-plated shoulder rubbing, and personal tutoring by an organized-crime lawyer had not taught this player the game. Perhaps he, like his followers, believed what he wanted to hear while ignoring history and evidence? A few skeptical troublemakers in 2017 accurately predicted Trump-administration policy outcomes by crediting the backgrounds of Trump's cabinet, agency, and advisor picks as relevant to outcome. Following the 2024 election, Trump immediately selected cabinet members, agency heads, and advisors according to their ability to accelerate the agenda of his benefactors. The result comprises an impressive, if not glaringly obvious, lineup of liberty destroyers.
Let us for the moment pretend that a man's past actions and associations should not be credited as relevant to future outcomes. Let us ignore the fact that Donald Trump's mentor was the hyper-hypocritical political fixer and Mafia-boss lawyer Roy Cohn — that as a real-estate developer Trump utilized unconstitutional government-enforced eminent-domain statutes to seize private property for private-casino construction — that in 2012 he was forgiven between $82 and ~$300 million in Trump Tower (Chicago) mezzanine-loan debt by lenders George Soros, Fortress Investment Group, and Blackacre Capital — that at least three of his failed-investment rescuers were rewarded with presidential political favors — that to this day he claims to be "father" of the demonstrably health-destroying experimental Covid vaccine while boasting to have saved hundreds of millions of lives around the world — that he gave Larry Fink, globalist CEO of BlackRock, vast control over U.S. fiscal policy during the manufactured-pandemic lockdowns, a blessing that netted an otherwise-unachievable transfer of wealth from private businesses to multinational mega-corporations — that while granting pardons to financial criminals and Israeli spies he betrayed two courageous men who exposed the government corruption candidate Trump had promised to eradicate (Snowden and Assange) — that on the last day of his 2017-2021 administration he awarded the medical criminal Anthony Fauci a presidential commendation — that his Christianity blossomed just in time to convince the Evangelical Right that he might be The Chosen One — that in a 2016 Town Hall interview he stated unequivocally that he thought it was okay for men who identify as women to use women's bathrooms, that people should "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate" — that his "I think you should get a one-year jail sentence if you do anything to desecrate the American flag" is not about defending the rights of the flag-owner, but about granting victim status to a political symbol, as is the wont of every dictator — that he insistently refers to the Constitutional Republic of America as a "democracy" — that he recently, without batting an eye, flip-flopped his position on H-1B visas — that just prior to his inauguration he launched a FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! cryptocurrency "meme coin" with the announcement: "My NEW Official Trump Meme is HERE! It's time to celebrate everything we stand for: WINNING! Join my very special Trump Community. GET YOUR $TRUMP NOW. Have Fun!"
Which was underscored by Eric Trump trumpeting: "I am extremely proud of what we continue to accomplish in crypto. $Trump is currently the hottest digital meme on earth and I truly believe that @WorldLibertyFi will revolutionize DeFi/Cefi and will be the future of finance. We are just getting started!" According to CoinGecko price data, the $TRUMP coin's fully diluted market capitalization was more than $32 billion as of 18 January, of which the Trump family owns 80%. If imposing a surveillable, programmable, politically cancellable virtual currency is a globalist goal, the younger Trump's "Just getting started" comment is both right and telling.
But . . . all of the foregoing is irrelevant. All of it is easy to ignore when committed to trusting a man who says what his needful audience wants to hear, as was demonstrated by response to Trump's inspiring-if-bromide-laden inaugural projection of what will shortly become America's "Golden Age."
And while we're snubbing ancient history as irrelevant to outcome, let us further pretend that Donald Trump's recent dinner engagements with Mark Zuckerberg, Sam Altman, Jeff Bezos, and Bill Gates (who is now enthusiastically hopeful that pal Donald could engage an Operation Warp Speed for Gates Foundation HIV-cure research) was not about streamlining via deregulation Big Tech's global Big Brother agenda, but about begging forgiveness for past offenses to avoid prosecution and jail time. Let us, instead, focus on the present.
Let us ask, "What do Donald Trump's cabinet, agency, and advisor selections bring to the Make America Great Again table?" And the logical followup, "What does ticking every box on the globalist-totalitarian to-do list — creating digital/virtual border "fences" and surrounding the globe with taxpayer-funded low-orbit global surveillance-and-containment-system satellites — advancing GMO "food" and expropriating citizen wealth for the manufacture of unsafe and ineffective DNA-altering non-vaccines — imposing government-controlled non-value-backed privacy-destroying imaginary "currency" and acquiescing to whatever the Israel First lobby demands — installing artificial intelligence into every facet of human life and choice, including warfare, information availability, personal travel, and, as David Icke predicts and Joe Rogan applauds with feigned resignation, the day-to-day running of government per Musk-Ramaswamy "efficiency" recommendations — have to do with making America great again?"
And let us then ask the question that should have been asked first: "What is Donald Trump's definition of 'great,' anyway?"
J.D. Vance is positioned to double down on the globalist vision in 2028 (or sooner depending on external influences). He is a Peter Thiel-manicured/invested Israel-Firster and former "Never Trumper" who launched in 2020 the venture-capital firm Narya Capital with funding from former Google CEO (and major Democrat Party donor) Eric Schmidt. Soon after Trump announced Vance as his running mate, the Palantir company, a Thiel-founded enterprise that is America's burgeoning surveillance state with AI-powered "pre-crime" systems in development, backed a Trump-Vance super PAC.
Advocates for the next manufactured excuse for implementing fear-based unconstitutional curtailment of speech and liberty a la "Covid19" include Marco Rubio, an mRNA-drug pusher who boasts that Operation Warp Speed led the world in "making vaccines available for anyone over the age of twelve." And Tulsi Gabbard, a former Bernie Sanders cheerleader and one-time critic of Trump's kowtowing Israel policy, who aggressively advocated for "leaders" to put Americans over 65 "at the front of the line for vaccinations" despite even-then-available evidence exposing the drug's inefficacy and danger to those with existing health problems. And Mehmet Oz, a clownish patronizing proponent of implantable chips, transgenderism for children, and the "safe and effective" Covid-vaccine lie. And Janette Nesheiwat, an enthusiastic congratulator of Marc Zuckerberg and other social-media authoritarians for censoring information that challenged the Big Pharma/ mainstream-media/ government narrative.
Then, among a wide-ranging flock of Israel-Firsters and AIPAC-money recipients, there's Trump's U.S. Attorney General pick, Pam Bondi, who aggressively perpetuates the line that anti-Semitism is rampant in America and dangerous when, in truth, "anti-Semitism" does not mean today what it meant in the time of the Elia Kazan-Gregory Peck motion picture, Gentleman's Agreement. The modern anti-Semitic label is an easy-to-wield argument from intimidation — more bluntly, a politicized hatchet — deployed to silence anyone with the audacity to criticize the Israeli government for anything it does or advocates doing. For example, for observing out loud that:
The Israeli government created Hamas. Israel Defense Forces members have long been, and still are, embedded in Hamas. Israel boasts that its border technology is capable of detecting attempted crossings by birds and rodents. Israel allowed Hamas to breach its impenetrable border in October 2023 in order to justify retaliatory genocide. The resulting payback slaughter and recent (coincidental) collapse of Assad's Syria to an historically impotent "rebel force" has (coincidentally) suddenly advanced Israel's plan to seize, allegedly in accordance with God's promise to give to the descendants of Abraham all the land "from the wadi of Egypt to the great river Euphrates," vast tracts of surrounding real estate. And (coincidentally) to eliminate meaningful resistance to constructing the prophesied Third Temple on the site of the demolished al-Aqsa Mosque after the prophesied appearance and sacrifice of a red heifer born in Israel. A foretelling that, for those who appreciate circle-squaring humor, occurred in 2018 after (coincidentally) the Israeli importation of red heifers from Texas.
(For details on the politicization of Jewry, see Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro's book, The Empty Wagon: Zionism's Journey from Identity Crisis to Identity Theft. As researcher-author Whitney Webb observes, "The fact that Trump has surrounded himself with climate-finance advocates and the fact that Wall Street needs climate finance to unlock an entire new asset class to fuel their casino (lest it collapse) are strong indicators that some sort of 'carbon pricing' is in the works." Howard Lutnick, a Trump transition-team leader and Trump's preferred choice for Commerce Secretary, is almost indistinguishably connected to the up-and-coming climate-finance/ carbon-pricing hoodwink; he also (coincidentally) sits on the board of the satellite-surveillance company Satellogic.
Trump's "efficiency" expert (a title almost impossible to type with a steady hand) is the government/ taxpayer-dependent non-genius corporate frontman Elon Musk, all in for carbon taxes and "universal basic income" and human-AI fusion and externally controllable driver-less cars and AI-managed drone wars and seeing to fruition his dream of a human-to-humanoid-robot ratio in favor of robots. Musk buddy Brendan Carr, Trump's pick for chairing the Federal Communications Commission, is on board to clear the way for tens of thousands of SpaceX satellites enveloping Earth's atmosphere for the good of mankind — ignoring, of course, the sovereignty and rights of nations and persons who prefer not to be bombarded with 5-6-7G radiation while trapped inside a "cloud" not to be mistaken for a digital prison.
From his emplacement of globalist-agenda gophers to his Greenland-acquisition nonsense to his self-aggrandizing fist-in-the-air fake-currency tripe, this reality-show role player seems suddenly in a hurry to reveal not only his true nature, but the nature of those whose will he serves. He will gratify MAGA devotees with legacy-enhancing "look the other way" gestures of campaign-promise fulfillment not because he promised, but because whatever promises he keeps will in no way undermine the painting of the bigger picture behind the veil.
Will keeping campaign promises — those Trump is not "prevented" from keeping by the Constitution, Supreme Court, Congress, state governors, city mayors, local law enforcement, other-agenda actors, and those to whom he is indebted — be good for Americans? Absolutely. At least where righting genuine wrongs is the result. But virtuous constitutional January 6-protester pardons, deporting criminal-illegals, pulling weaponized DOJ teeth, and withdrawing from military conflicts that should not involve American soldiers and taxpayer funding will in no way alter or even inconvenience this Trojan horse's billionaire cronies' plan for installing, programming, and administering a digital global-control grid with government-corporate "oversight."
This bigger picture is immune to the keeping or breaking of campaign promises, as the Father of the Vaccine well knows. Which makes Jackson Browne's closing lyrical line unsettlingly appropriate.
Are you prepared for The Pretender?
The answer is a resounding, "No."
