TDS is rising. So is TDS.

Those who believe that a befuddled dotard and his scatterbrained cackling sidekick have been running their presidential show are clearly unaware of a bigger picture. No less vision-foreshortened, however, are chanting Trump-rally mobs. Joseph Robinette Biden is translucent regarding his dream of an anti-America globalist endgame, whereas Donald John Trump sports a cloak woven of words Americans want to hear. Biden-regime lackeys applaud whatever giveaways, guarantees, and government-knows-best restrictions their petty tyrants offer, trusting that when the music stops they'll get at least the edge of a chair. Trump devotees applaud what hope tells them is the answer to petty tyrants, believing with one eye while closing the other.

Until recently.

That their Chosen One's choice of a Peter Thiel-manicured VP has failed to awaken them to who Trump really is suggests both eyes closed — and willfully so.

J.D. Vance's mentors and benefactors are as research-accessible and future-predicting as are D.J. Trump's unsavory character-shapers and favor-brokers (see previous Grant County Beat essays or The Unfounding of America), but in the aftermath of the The Don's photo-capture moment following an alleged bungled assassination attempt, evidence contradicting the what-we-want-to-hear paradigm is not only unwelcome but, to those deifying "the billionaire who took a bullet for democracy," blasphemous.

Whether by means of Trump Derangement Syndrome or Trump Delusion Syndrome, Americans are being played. The Trump-deranged want an America that is not America; their wish looms on a near horizon. The Trump-deluded want America to be more or less America but their MAGA-cap brims obscure the very same horizon and its alternate access route. The Biden Show's scripted denouément has been insolently obvious throughout every act of its Obama Show sequel. Of necessity, the Trump Show casts a credible thespian, but between early 2026 and mid 2030 — with or without election theft or cancellation or genuine martyr-producing marksmanship — Donald Trump's role in subverting the Constitutional Republic of America will become apparent to those with at least one eye open and wishful-thinking filters discarded.

When the Artist of the Deal's second round of campaign promises appear to be thwarted by Democrats and RINOs — when the next crisis calls for a regrettable-but-necessary unconstitutional "pragmatic" response — when some new "take the guns now and do the due process later" scenario arises — when swamp creatures surface and advise and ascend — when globalist and Israel-first Trump-Vance debt collectors get the long end of the stick — when a new "Conservative" administration gives Big Tech what it needs to perfect the tools of global subjugation — remember 45's dismissive response to cognizant Americans who decried his self-aggrandizing kudos for the "safe and effective" Covid non-vaccine. As 47, his cavalier disdain for independent thinkers will emerge again, probably with less subtlety.

Hope has long been a tool for manipulation, both to mislead and control and to dispirit and control. The oppositional Mobs of America have not been formed by chance. With massive numbers of Leftists deranged and a proportionate benevolent-but-gullible resistance deluded, America has been readied not for an awakening or restorative revolution, but for chaos and the opportunity chaos provides for a wholly anti-America "solution."

It has been said and thoughtlessly repeated that Donald Trump didn't "need" to be president, that his wealth, perceived success, and celebrity status were enough — as if a lifelong limelight hound would decline the chance to star in the biggest reality show of them all. The man is an actor performing a role written by those he owes to advance a long-term larger agenda while, in the short term, propelling the Perpetual Political Pendulum superficially Rightward yet again. Trump Derangement Syndrome and Trump Delusion Syndrome comprise a single wedge driven into the culture of America for the purpose of controlling, and then ending, America.

Those for whom America's Declaration of Independence and original Constitution mean what The Founders intended must break from hope-derived vulnerability. They must judge with unclouded vision the perils of following a self-proclaimed savior who mouths words his followers want to hear.

Or, they can wait until AI is the Arbiter of Truth to ask their Space X-connected 5G smart phones: "What happened to America?"
