Sunny Yates Kellerman likes to quote Rumi, saying, “Wear gratitude like a cloak and it will feed every corner of your life."

“As we leave Thanksgiving behind us, it is important to remember that gratitude is not limited to a day or a season.  The art and science of cultivating and expressing gratitude benefits every aspect of physical, mental and emotional well-being.” Kellerman added.

She will discuss how to maintain a sense of gratitude in our everyday lives.

Sunny Yates Kellerman is a founding partner in Effective Environments®. She is a management consultant and executive coach, with experience in nonprofit management, small business development and commercial law.

Kellerman has coached and consulted with managers, business owners and CEOs, among others, by coaching them to focus on empowering them to be self-generating in applying fundamental principles for effectiveness and helping them to design and use practices that support achieving extraordinary results.

As well as authoring and co-authoring more than 30 articles on subjects such as effectiveness, coaching; and time, project, and clutter management, she is also the co-creator of the audio publication of “Being Effective: Fulfilling Your Dreams” and has led workshops for thousands of people across the country.

Kellerman is a former lawyer and law professor who practiced corporate and consumer law for four years and taught commercial law for ten years. She also served as a Senior Manager for the U.S. office of The Global Hunger Project. She has also been a member of Rotary since 1997 and served as Governor of District 5520 (New Mexico and west Texas) in 2020-2021.

There are speakers on the patio if you wish to enjoy the service outside.

This Sunday there will be a Children’s Religious Education program. Parents are invited to bring children four years old and above to attend youth-led classes. Ninth grader Ivy Stephens-Etheridge, a former CRE student, will read a story and lead a lesson on giving thanks.
