Valerie Kling, a Prevention Specialist from the Center for Health Innovation, has a passion for prevention and helping others thrive through meaningful discussion.

Kling will touch on the topics of dealing with stress in modern America, and the effects of this stress on physical and emotional wellness. She’ll discuss the importance of self-care, modern day stress management techniques and the importance of prevention.

Kling will also emphasize the importance of medication lockup, safe disposal, and general medication safety.

Valerie Kling is a prevention specialist currently employed for the Center for Health Innovation, a local non-profit and public health institute. The program she supports locally is called the Youth Substance Awareness and Prevention Coalition. In her previous career, Kling was a respiratory therapist of 6+ years who has worked in a variety of critical care settings.

She has her undergraduate degree in public health and is pursuing her graduate degree in social work. Kling has a passion for prevention and helping others thrive through meaningful discussion. Her presentation pertains to the 6th UU principle stating, “The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all.”
