Wild Wild West Rodeo Returns to Silver City June 6

The Wild Wild West Rodeo, proudly presented by First New Mexico Bank of Silver City, is set to bring two thrilling nights of rodeo action to the Southwest Horseman's Arena on June 6 and 7, 2025. Spectators can look forward to classic rodeo competitions including bull riding, barrel racing, saddle bronc, team roping, alongside the ever-popular mutton bustin', and more.

Tickets are available starting May 24 at Circle Heart Western Wear in Silver City and Circle S Western Emporium in Deming, priced at $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Box seating is included with select sponsorship packages.

Gates open at 5:00 PM each evening, with performances kicking off at 7:00 PM. Friday night's rodeo is sponsored by First Financial Credit Union and Wrangler's Bar & Grill, while Saturday's event is backed by Freeport McMoRan and The Brown Boys at Werner Tire.

Special attractions this year include performances by professional rodeo clown and entertainer Nate "Shotgunn" Reed, and PRCA trick rider Madison Schalla. The annual Humphrey's Enterprise Exceptional Rodeo for contestants with special needs will take place Saturday evening at 5 pm.

Attendees are encouraged to explore Vendor Alley for food, drinks, crafts, and western gear, and to enjoy the family dance hosted by the Lone Mountain 4-H Club each night. Free shuttle service is provided by Corre Caminos from the Grant County Veterans Business & Conference Center.

This year's event marks its debut as a sanctioned stop on the Grand Canyon Pro Rodeo Association (GCPRA) circuit, in partnership with the renowned Casper Baca Rodeo Company. Tres Osos Performance Horses is offering a Performance Horse Incentive in 2025. Anyone competing in a timed event on a horse bred by Dave Mize, Linda Mars or Tres Osos Performance Horses is eligible for the $1000 incentive payout, paid to the highest placing eligible competitor in each timed event.
