It is with deep sadness and great appreciation for having spent so much time together,
(although it is never enough), that the family of Jesus L. Morales announce his passing at his home, as was his wish, on March 20, 2026. He was 100 years old.
He was born on June 19, 1925 to Inez O. Morales and Sara Lopez in Santa Rita, NM. He married his loving wife, Carmen (Salcido) on October 29, 1950 in Fierro, NM.
Chuy, Guerro, or Mayor, as he was affectionately known, was a very loving and caring father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
He grew up during the Great Depression, worked hard beginning at a very young age and then served in the military. He was a proud World War II Veteran having served with the US Navy on a minesweeper in the Asiatic Pacific Area from 1944-1946. Following his service to his country, Chuy returned to Santa Rita and worked for the Kennecott Copper Mining Company, married Carmen in 1950 and began a family. We remember his tender devotion to Carmen until her passing, especially during her dialysis treatments, where he would patiently wait, often lost in the pages of a Louis L'Amour novel. Shortly after Carmen's passing, he developed advanced macular degeneration and was no longer able to enjoy his books. He stayed positive and adapted to seeing the world in a new way. He never gave up or complained. He suffered a lasting heartbreak following the sudden death in 2016 of his youngest son, Bill, who was his constant companion.
Kevin Ortega, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Friday, March 20, 2026, in El Paso, Texas. Arrangements are pending with Terrazas Funeral Chapels ~ 575-537-0777.

Ernest will be lovingly remembered by his wife Teresa Lopez of seventy-two (72) years; three (3) sons, Ernest, Robert and Arnold Lopez and their spouses, Dolores, Erin, and Aida, respectively. His grandchildren, Nicholas Lopez, Jaime Lopez, Jake White, Phoenix Lopez-Luschei, and Nathan Lopez. Greatgrandchildren, Alexis and Julian Lopez, Benjamin Muro, Josiah, Derrick, Jazmin, and Aiden Lopez.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Amalia Jackson, Lucille Ganaway, Evelyn Marquez, and Oscar and Danny Lopez.
Erenst lived a full and meaningful life, defined by service, craftmanship, and deep devotion, to those he loved. As a member of the National Guard, he demonstrated dedication and pride in serving his country. He was a talented and artistic welder, as well as an adventurous hunter and fisherman who found joy in the outdoors.

Colten Ethan Davis, 31, a resident of Andrews, TX entered eternal rest Monday, March 16, 2026 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews, TX. He was born July 19, 1994 in El Paso, TX to Darrell Wayne and Janis Charlene (Garner) Davis. For a short 19 months he was the center of their world before welcoming his little brother, Cordell Davis into their family. Through their childhood they were inseparable and were truly best friends up until the time of Colten' passing. Colten passed away unexpectedly due to a medical event on March 16th. He is leaving behind a legacy of deep and unwavering love.
Colten was a mischievous little boy that soon turned into a mischievous grown man! If you knew Colten from 4-H Rodeos, FFA, Church or Cliff School functions you would know that Colten was always up for a prank or a good laugh. He loved every trip he took that he could share his passions for FFA and making memories with the scores of friends he met along the way. Many of these were friends that stayed in contact even after that journey had ended.
Colten married his devoted and loving wife, Diana (Cook) Davis in March 2023. Through their love and cherished time on this earth they were blessed by God to have a son, Quincy Davis in March 2024. Their son was truly the largest blessing of their lives. Diana and Quincy were the center of his world. The birth of his son was truly what transformed Colten from a boy to a man.
