Celebration of Life
In Loving Memory of
Ozzy Rodriguez
February 5, 2004 – July 25, 2026
Forever 22
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that our family announces the passing of our beloved Ozzy Rodriguez.
Ozzy was born in Silver City, New Mexico, to Leroy Rodriguez and Marlene Gutierrez, and later made his home in Fairbanks, Alaska, where he worked at ACE Hardware. Ozzy was deeply loved by his family and friends. His life may have been far too short, but the love, laughter, and memories he gave us will remain in our hearts forever. Ozzy had a love for music and especially enjoyed composing and creating his own beats. Music was a special part of who he was and one of the many ways he expressed himself.

Raymond Eugene Banfield ("Rebel")
February 22, 1948 – August 7, 2026
If life were measured by stories instead of years, Raymond Eugene Banfield would have lived to be about 300.
Born on February 22, 1948, in Oakland, California, Ray—better known to many as "Rebel"—never believed life was meant to be boring. He collected adventures the way most people collect souvenirs. By the time he retired, he'd held an incredible 37 different jobs, proving that if there was work to be done, Ray would probably try it...at least once.
Some of those jobs were unforgettable. He shined shoes for the mob, the rich and famous and every day golfers alike, worked as a landscape photographer, painted, and wore more hats than most people could count. Then there were the jobs that became legendary. He performed as an Elvis impersonator at the Riviera, entertained crowds on the Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, and eventually found the one job that finally convinced him to stay put. He retired from the Mirage after 15 years of service—which, for a man who had already worked 36 other jobs, was practically a lifetime commitment.
