The Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society held a three-day Baseball seminar Oct. 17-19, 2019 at the Museum in the Santa Clara Armory and at the baseball field at Bataan Memorial Park. The Fort Bayard Veterans lost the first game to the visiting Arizona Black Sox on Saturday 12-4, but the Veterans redeemed themselves on Sunday in front of a much smaller audience by a score of 12-4, turning the tables on the visiting team. Both teams played with the original baseball rules for the 1800s.
