monegiveawaytourofthegila01206 Monē Hachita Frameset To Be Raffled off to An Amateur Bike Racer

Silver City, NM — Amateur competitive cyclists now have another reason to enter Tour of the Gila 2025. The Silver City-based stage race partnered with Monē Bikes, a bicycle fabrication operation also based in southwest New Mexico, to give away a frameset to one lucky participant in this year’s USA Cycling-sanctioned races.

Every person who competes in a USA Cycling category at the 38th Tour of the Gila will be automatically entered to win a Hachita, a multipurpose design named after a community in the bootheel of New Mexico due south of the race’s home base.

monegiveawaytourofthegila02552 1“Silver City is my favorite place on earth, and the Tour of the Gila is a wonderful and unique part of our town,” said Cjell Monē, the owner/operator designer fabricator of Monē Bikes, who is donating this frame to Tour of the Gila. “As a cycling-focused business, we are honored to be able to support the race this year.”

“Every cyclist can appreciate the artisanship that goes into a Monē Bikes frame,” race director Jack Brennan said, “and this particular frameset is incredible. Compatible with so many different wheel sizes and components, the Hachita can be customized to do anything.”

While Monē Bikes is a more dirt-forward brand that’s popular among touring and single speed cyclists, road cyclists who pedal the scenic mountain racecourses synonymous with Tour of the Gila can find a use for the Hachita, a frameset designed to suit many styles of riding.

“The Hachita is a canvas for bike heads,” Monē says.

For amateur competitors, Tour of the Gila offers five USA Cycling-sanctioned races: a four-day format for Men 1,2 and Men 3 along with a three-day format for Women 1,2,3,4; Men 4,5; and Masters Men 3,4,5.

The more experienced amateur racers will begin with the Silver City to Mogollon Road Race on Thursday, April 24, which is the day following the kickoff of the UCI-sanctioned races. Others start with the Inner Loop Road Race on Friday, April 25.
