Attending the Internship Showcase is a great way to learn about this award-winning school and about educational programs that prepare students for future careers. Students have worked with Youth Conservation Corps (YCC): water harvesting, eco-monitoring, mural, garden, and trail crews. Other students have learned skills by working with professionals in careers such as engineering, art, welding, clay, theater, and baking. All interns will give presentations about their internships or YCC experiences.
Aldo Leopold Charter School is a tuition-free public school with a focus on stewardship of the community and the natural environment. The school offers small class sizes, AP courses, after-school academic support, opportunity for paid internship with YCC, dual-credit coursework with Western New Mexico University, and the opportunity to play team sports with either Silver High School or Cobre High School.
