SILVER CITY, NM — Do you have a story to tell? Are you ready to step onto the stage and share truth, laughter, strength, and transformation? This coming February, 2026, TheActrix Studio LLC will bring back The Vagina Monologues for the third time in Silver City, and this year's beneficiary is the vital local nonprofit, Fight Like a Girl (FLAG).
FLAG's vision is to empower women and girls through action: "An organization dedicated to empowering the girls and women of Grant County to See Something and Do Something," says President, Lydia Villegas. "Fight Like a Girl, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, equips women and girls with the skills and confidence to thrive—and in turn, strengthen our local workforce."
AUDITION INFORMATION:
Dates: November 13 & 14 Time: 5:30–7:30 PM Location: FLAG Office, 109 N. Bullard St., Silver City
No previous acting experience is required—just the willingness to show up, take a risk, and lift others alongside you. A past cast member shared: "The opportunity to participate came at the perfect time. I stretched in my confidence. It was just so fun, so inclusive, with a palpable sense of sisterhood in the process."
Producer Wendy Spurgeon comments: "TheActrix Studio LLC was founded in 2024, and The Vagina Monologues was our first non-profit fundraising production, benefitting women and girls in Silver City and Grant County. This coming 2026 production builds on the legacy, invites community participation, and bolsters the great work of FLAG."
