Join the Silver City MainStreet Project for Story Time and learn about how the owners of Manzanita Ridge, Rick Johnson, Buck Burns and David Van Auker, became Kick-Ass Entrepreneurs! Manzanita Ridge has been open for 22 years in Silver City and previously for 16 years in Globe, Arizona. Recently they established world notoriety with the discovery of the stolen painting Woman Ochre and the subsequent release of the documentary The Thief Collector. Come learn more about their amazing story!
"Manzanita Ridge is such an iconic antique store in our community," said Cindy "Renee" Provencio, Silver City MainStreet Project's Administrative Assistant. "Their discovery of the stolen painting has helped put Silver City on the Map. Buck, David, and Rick are distinguished members of our community, and we are thrilled that they are taking time to share their incredible story with us."
The Silver City MainStreet Project recommends arriving at Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery at 5:30 PM to allow time for ordering food and drinks along with a bit of schmoozing before the story starts at 6 PM.
KAE-SC provides entrepreneurs of all ages and stages, across all industries, and throughout Grant County the opportunity to share their stories with an engaged audience of local fans, curious community members, and potential partners. Entrepreneurs share their inside stories, including what worked for them and what resources and people helped them along the way.
Everyone is welcome at KAE-SC. The fun, social format provides attendees with the opportunity to mingle, network, and meet new friends with similar interests. The events are a great way to learn about local businesses and enjoy an evening downtown.
