QUEMADO, N.M., Jan. 10 — The Quemado Ranger District on the Gila National Forest has completed the planned prescribed burn at the Baca slash pit, approximately two miles northeast of Quemado Lake.
The Baca slash pit is once again open for public disposal. Please note that this pit is intended for slash disposal only. Slash is woody debris left over from forest thinning projects.
Please contact the Quemado Ranger District office if you have any questions about appropriate disposal materials for the Baca slash pit.
