On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Victoria Chick will speak to Rotary about the Southwest Regional Museum of Art.

The Southwest Regional Museum of Art and Art Center is a 501(c) (3) educational charity with a significant and growing collection of American Art from 1850 to Contemporary times. A Capital Campaign begins this year to raise funds for a building to preserve and exhibit art and provide art-making inspiration here in Silver City.

Ms. Chick has been an instructor and lecturer in art and art history at the college level. Residing in Silver City since 2005, she is a practicing artist, past president of the Silver City Art Association, and a member of the Gila Chapter Back Country Horsemen.

The Rotary Club meets every Tuesday from 12-1 p.m. for lunch in the WNMU Student Memorial Building, Second Floor, Sunset Room. There is a brief "meet and greet", a short business meeting and then the speaker has the floor. The club welcomes members of the public to the meetings.
