noun 1. The ability to recover quickly from illness, change, or misfortune; buoyancy. 2. The property of a material that enables it to resume its original shape or position after being bent, stretched, or compressed; elasticity. 3. The act of springing back, rebounding, or resiling.

In this fun and informative "playshop," we will explore aspects of our nervous system, noticing sensations and more through Somatic Experiencing exercises, sounds, and Qigong-type movements. We will also discover the myriad resources and strengths we already have in our lives. We will journal or draw, inviting more comfort and peace in our bodies, which is much needed in the world right now. Please wear loose comfortable clothes, bring your favorite pillow or stuffed animal, an altar item that brings you much joy (no live animals please!), and your curious self!

About Martha . . .
Martha Everett is a licensed massage therapist in NM since 2006, serving the different communities of Grant County; she is also a longtime Qigong enthusiast, experienced dog and cat companion, and is currently more than halfway through her 3-year Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training. Martha is personally learning how to build more resilience and capacity for joy in her own nervous system. She is excited to launch her new website, www.wavesofcuriosity.com in October 2024.
