Laura Ramnarace, Annette Rubino-Buckley and Vicki Gadberry at the SWFAC 2024 Give Grandly booth. The SW Women's Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) will participate at the 2025 Give Grandly event on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 9 am to 2 pm at Gough Park in Silver City. SWFAC will be offering a make-and-take activity at their booth.
"We are excited to participate again this year", states Lisa Rush, board member. "We are so grateful to the Gila Community Foundation and the Give Grandly Coalition for sponsoring this annual community giving day that supports so many local nonprofit organizations in our community. Come by our booth and meet some of our members. It's a great way to learn about the fiber arts and what we do. We would love to meet you!"
Donations can be made online now at www.givegrandly.org or come by in person on May 3th. Donations will go toward our operating expenses so we can fulfill our mission of providing fiber artisans a means to earn income, offer classes and free fiber art programs for youth. SWFAC will be offering three fiber art activities this July as part of both the Silver City and Bayard Public Library's summer youth programming.
SWFAC was founded in 2005 and is a local, all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the goal to stimulate and support successful cottage industry in the southwest. To accomplish this, SWFAC members nurture and empower one another. Both novice and skilled SWFAC artists enrich the community by fostering opportunities to gain new experience and expand talent as well as earn income from their art. Please visit SWFAC's website at www.fiberartscollective.org to learn more about the organization.
